Not just dessert, this is a wedding dessert

I had the best wedding day.

I got to wear a fab dress, marry my favourite boyfriend, drink Champagne and have a wedding dinner at Daniel. The meal at Daniel Boulud's signature restaurant was an amazing experience and really made my day. Beautifully presented and out-of-this-world flavours - from the watercress inspired amuse bouches to delicate scallops it was the best meal I have ever had.

They did save the best for last. I opted for the blueberry and hibiscus vascherin at the waiter's recommendation. But it was a close run thing - I adore rhubarb. And it was in season. But I was swayed by the recommendation. Thankfully I was not disappointed. The dessert was heavenly.

I didn't think it could get any better... until they brought us out a wedding dessert. After our desserts. After the blueberry paradise I'd just consumed. And they included rhubarb!



The only regret was not being about to make any significant dent on the wine list.

Ah, well. There's always our first anniversary!
